Regulations

To ensure an ideal environment where all members of the Fulbright community can study, research and relax; while using the Library's services, please adhere to the following rules:

  • Leave your bags and other personal belongings at the correct place before entering the Library;
  • Maintain a silent and non-disturbing atmosphere. Loud talking is prohibited. Mobile phones must be switched off or put on silent mode;
  • No outside food or drink is allowed. We have a special place to serve drinks. Should it be necessary, you may bring a small drink bottle with a secure and covered lid, but you must not cause any spillage in any part of the Library;
  • When using the Library's material, you must not make any note, sign or writing on the material;
  • When you have finished using the Library's material, please put it back to its original position on the bookshelf. If you cannot remember the position, please leave the material at the librarian's desk. We are always pleased to help you put the material back to the bookshelf;
  • If you want to perform printing, making copies or reproducing actions on any material, please make sure that you meet the requirements of the Copyright law, refer to the Policies of printing & making copies of materials, or contact the librarian for assistance.

Borrowing materials from the Library

  • If you want to borrow the Library's materials to take home, you must have a Library card. If you are a Fulbright student/learner, your student/learner ID card will also be your Library card.
  • If you are a Fulbright faculty or a Fulbright staff member, you will have a staff member ID card and this will also be your Library card. The Library card is only for internal use and is valid within Fulbright University Vietnam for borrowing materials of the Library.
  • Journals, newspapers, theses and dictionaries: only on-site reading, reference and lookup is allowed.
  • Textbooks, syllabi, CDs/DVDs, unit materials, etc. that are frequently used while working on assignments, preparing for final exams, writing unit reports or projects, etc. (according to the librarian's notification), you are allowed to do on-site reading, or borrow to take home for up to 01 day to share with other people.
