The library provides Borrow – Return, Renew, and Material-hold services. Users can search for the resources according to their personal need via website or at the Library.

As you use the Library and access the resources of the Library, you agree to abide by the regulations stated in the user license agreement here.

BORROW – RETURN SERVICE

*Available resources at the Fulbright library

The Fulbright users can borrow printed materials at the library by:

  • Search for the materials using OneSearch tool at the Homepage, then check the availability and location of the copies. On every bookshelf lies the maps for locating books categorized by disciplines.

In case you cannot find the copies, please contact the librarian for help, using the Chatbox (in the right-bottom of the screen), or via emails, or via Ask a Librarian tool if not in emergency.

After you finish borrowing service with the librarian, you will receive an automatic confirmation email that informs you of the due date for returning the copies.

For eTextbooks, you need to log in with the provided account.

The returning policy for different users is stated in detail in the Library Regulations.

*Non-available resources at the Fulbright library

In case your required materials are not available at the Fulbright library, we could still support you.

The delivery of the materials usually takes 2-3 days depending on the availability and the regulations of the libraries. The Borrowing period is usually 5-10 days per transaction.

RENEW SERVICE

  • In case your borrowed materials do not have other requests or not in hectic time, you get automatically renewed for maximum 3 times/piece.

MATERIAL-HOLD SERVICE

  • In case you want to borrow any material but cannot come to the library, you can reserve the requested material by filling in the Material Borrowing Registration Form and send this information to the librarian. You will receive a confirmation email. The material you requested will be booked for 24 hours. After this period, if you do not come into the Library to finalize your request, the material will automatically be back to its idle state.

PENALTY & CHARGE

Overdue return

After 3 times of automatic renewal, failure to return the books/materials to the Library will result in the penalty of:

  • Day 1 - Day 7: VND 10,000/day/piece.
  • After Day 7: VND 50,000/day/piece.

Damaged materials

Depending on the severity of the damage, you will be charged a cost of handling the material (VND 50,000/piece) + restoration of the material + delivery cost (if applicable).

Lost materials

In case you lose the borrowed materials, you will:

  • Compensate with a replacement, or:
  • If you cannot purchase a replacement, you will be charged a cost of handling the material (VND 50,000/piece) + purchase of the material + delivery cost (if applicable).
  • If the material is no longer published or cannot be purchased on market, you will be charged triple the cover price + a cost of handling the material (VND 50,000/piece) + delivery cost (if applicable).

Lost library card

  • In case you lose your library card, you will be suspended from the Borrow-Return service for 14 days and charged for a new library card of VND 50,000/card.

Allowing others to use your library card

  • You will be suspended from the Borrow-Return service for 14 days.

Taking the materials out of the library without finish borrowing service

  • You will be suspended from the Borrow-Return service for 30 days.
